After an overwhelming response to our call for contributions we were once again excited to be able to offer a range of opportunities for conversations, creativity and collaborative learning at the 2019 Forum. Our programme covered 3 broad areas – knowledge mobilisation practice, knowledge mobilisation research & evaluation and knowledge mobilisation training & development. See below for a brief overview of what was on offer over the 2 days. Download a full copy of our programme here or by clicking the programme image on the right.
-
- Keynote speakers Ishbel Smith (day 1) and Andrée le May & John Gabbay (day 2) joined us to share their insights into knowledge mobilisation practice and research and discuss what we can learn from their work and what they can learn from us.
- Interactive poster sessions where delegates had a chance to add comments and questions to displayed posters and contributors had a chance to respond. The aim was for contributors and delegates to develop a shared conversation about their poster.
- Knowledge fayre sessions where contributors shared their work during repeated 15 minute small group sessions. What contributors shared and how they shared it was entirely up to them (e.g. they could run a demonstration, give a short presentation, test an idea or provide a challenge). The format was very loosely based on Knowledge Café principles.
- Practical and interactive workshops designed to facilitate collaborative learning.
- Following the successful Fishbowl at the 2018 Forum, we included more Fishbowl contributions for 2019. Facilitated fishbowl sessions allowed delegates and contributors to discuss “hot topics” or ideas.
- Networking opportunities in the form of randomised coffee trials connected delegates with new people working in knowledge mobilisation.
