David Wolff is Director of the Community University Partnerships Programme (Cupp) at the University of Brighton. Prior to this David worked in the community and voluntary sector in the fields of homelessness, advice and information services, project management and in the use of IT. Cupp aims to create sustainable partnerships that provide an enduring benefit to local communities and to the University of Brighton, working with community and voluntary sector organisations, social enterprises and public sector organisations.
It is a great opportunity for knowledge mobilisation practitioners to get together to share learning and to develop mutual understanding with policy makers. It is a great shortcut to improving our work through connecting with others.
Imagine your KMb future (Dave Wolff)
Utilising a case study of 10 years of the University of Brighton working in partnership with its local communities this session aims to:
- Explore findings from research conducted – via local, national and global contributions – into an ideal day in a realistic future of university and community co-working
- Share the role that creative writing can play in imagining the future and informing strategy
- Enable participants to consider their own knowledge mobilisation future
