Dr Annette Boaz is a social scientist with an interest in research engagement, research impact and evaluation. She has conducted research for a range of funders including the UK Cabinet Office, Economic and Social Research Council and the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). Annette is one of the managing editors of the journal Evidence & Policy. The journal has a growing international reputation and has achieved an ISI impact factor. She supports a number of initiatives aimed at increasing capacity for research use including the NIHR Knowledge Mobilization Fellowship scheme, the UK Implementation Network and the ESRC Impact Prize.
In the UK, knowledge mobilisers, brokers and users rarely have opportunities to come together and share ideas, progress and challenges. The Forum is an exciting opportunity to engage with the knowledge brokering and knowledge mobilisation communities (both in the room and much more widely).
Do you want to get published?
Annette Boaz, Joint Editor of the journal Evidence & Policy is offering a question and answer session for those considering publication in an academic journal. Publication in a journal is a great way of ensuring your work remains accessible for future generations of knowledge mobilisers. Those engaged in research may well have questions about the processes and pitfalls. Those engaged in the ‘doing’ of knowledge mobilisation might be interested to know more about the practice section of our journal, designed to provide a space for practitioners to reflect on the practice of promoting knowledge use.
